The design team was to create artwork for an 18ft POG including product packaging for both Masque and Alpena branded products. In some cases (see the seat cover section) product packaging must illustrate "Good" "Better" "Best" between the products within the line. Signage and product trays were also needed.
MY ROLE:
Working with a small team of designers we started off with the most challenging portion of the project. Seat covers would require us to come up with different colour combinations that were brand friendly, but different enough to tell them apart. Then, create templates for each of those colour combinations in 6", 8", 12", and 16" boxes. From there it would be a matter of swapping in appropriate content for each product.
The rest of the POG was pretty straigh forward. Branded templates were pulled based on the type of packaging and product (box, blister, backer card, hang tag, poly bag, belly band, or product insert.)
Finally, we were required to build full package mockups of all items for planograming purposes. In some cases, if a product sample was unavailable we were required photoshop and image on a backer card, or render the item and create a 2D mockup. Almost eveything you see in this photo (aside from physical product), was designed and built by the design team.
