For the last week, I’ve been taking full advantage of the isolation of the COVID-19 situation by doing some serious skill upgrades in LinkedIn learning. After doing just under 18 hours of study in UX Design, I’ve gained many insights into how to prototype, gather and conduct research, and create customer centred designs for screens.

Some of my favourite courses featured topics like:

Learning different prototyping programs like Adobe XD, Sketch, and even inVision (although I’d like to explore this one more) was very interesting and something I was happy I was able to take the time to do. Not just to be able to prototype and be familiar with the interfaces, but also to compare the different workflows and functionalities of each.

This will be great to help inform my decisions of which program to use in the future. For now though, I think I’ll have to stick with what I’m currently paying for in my Creative Cloud account.
